Responsive theme is not responsive in IE

Hi,

 

I am developing a website using Prestashop 1.5.6 and a responsive template (http://addons.prestashop.com/demo/FO5182.html), but it's not responsive in IE (version 8 at least). Is this normal? Is there a way to fix this?

IE 8 is outdated browser.

Your theme use media queries, Internet explorer below 9 doesn't support media queries.

 

All modern and in my opinion the best "responsive" framework don't support outdated browsers. for example bootstrap:

Ok, that's interesting to know. I'll test it with IE 9 to see if it works.
