Cannot log into Admin console

Recommended Posts

When I try to login into the Admin Console, I get redirected to the login page over and over again.

I never get into the console.

When I use wrong credentials, I get the proper error message.

When I use the correct credentials I get back to the login page.

There is no error log on the backend.

There is no error on the javascript console AFAIK.

The site url is http://failover.lenial.com.ar/administrator/

I am ok giving login credentials through private message.

Thanks in advance.

Good question! I forgot to give that context

I am cloning a Presta. Creating an exact copy under another domain.

I've copied the code, the DB, changed the configuration files,  modified the DB records, rebuilt and checked the .htaccess, deleted the compiled and cached files, etc.

This is not the first time I do this with this site. I followed all the needed steps that are very well documented in the web.

The Front  is working great.

The BO has this issue and I couldn't log in

For sure I committed a mistake somewhere but I cannot diagnose where since I cannot find a single error anywhere.

Good catch. Had not tried it before.

And the answer is NO.  Exact same behaviour. It gets back to the login page.

It doesn't display any error on the page (wrong password, etc). Just the blank login page as if you invoke the link agian.

No errors on the apache/log

No errors on the javascritpt console

I have just tried ressetting the password using the "forgot password".

I've got the email and the new password.

The old password stop working. If I use it I get the "Authentication error" red message.

If I use the new one I get the back to the login page. No messages anywhere.

This is weird....

what you changed in database and in configuration file?

is there possibility that your hoster disabled error logs for you?
