xhidex
Dear all, first of all, would like to say thanks to all developer and contributors, which makes that fantastic product free for everybody. I have a "small" issue which I need to solve . I setted up a prestashop for my [spam-filter] which she's selling cosmetic and fashion products. Since we are based in switzerland, our DEFAULT currency is Swiss Francs (CHF), but most of clients are based in Brasil...so we have website with CHF, BRL and EUR for european clients. We need that DEFAULT currency is CHF because we buy everything in CHF, but I would like to have the SHOWED DEFAULT (I mean, the one which would be showed when entering in the site without any logging or so) as brazilian reais (BRL). I know that is possible, from the admin panel to change the default currency, but this is not what we need...and will also cause problem as all prices are calculated from swiss francs... So, my question is :Is possible to KEEP default currency as CHF, and set as default showed the BRL? Thank you!!

El Patron
Hello, thx for your quick reply! I have tried but is not the best solution as sometimes seems that geolocalization does not work... (is my server issue, I know is crappy )... Anyway, if there is another option to fix that as default would be veeeeery helpful...crossing fingers, hoping, he can help (I am loco for localization) There is not 'really' another way, i.e. without crazy customization to do this. Don't ask me how as I will get bored and wander off. This solution works 99.99% of the time, sure you can get those odd ip's that can not be resolved, but that is very rare. If your hosting plan runs prestashop then it will support the native geo location. sample for 1.5 (1.4 very similar) 1. enable geo location back office-->preferences-->Geolocaton-->enable 2. back office-->localization-->countries-->edit country-->set default currency... now to test this, is another matter. you can try to find proxy server by country...that can be time consuming. So I did write a module to make this easier which you can review here: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/279119-module-geo-targeting-localization-country-or-ip-simulator-pro/ it's really that simple....prestashop is da bomb at localization by country.
