[SOLVED] Help needed: Missing Category block

Hello all,

 

I'm completely new to Prestashop, using version 1.5.6 and I have the following problem: the category block I have in the right column disappears when you click one one of the categories. It is back when you select a product.

I have been fiddling with so many options in the last few days, I have no idea what I may have done to cause this.

Check that you didn't exclude it from certain pages (exceptions)

Go to BO -> Modules -> Positions -> Transplant a module -> Choose the module from the list and see if the exceptions box with page names.

Thank you for replying so quickly! But there is nothing entered under exceptions at all. :-/

sounds strange.

have you tried to reinstall module? 

and to clear cache in your browser (just recompile entire theme)

Aha! I have disabled it and re-enabled it, and now it seems to work. Thanks for the suggestion!

seems like it was problem with presta internal smarty caching engine (this module using caching funcitons)
