[SOLVED] remove subcategory listing and just show products in main category

hi

 

I'm trying to customise how the categories show

 

I have for example a lot of subcategories in on parent category but I don't want to show the category listing when you click on the parent category just all the products in it

 

http://shop.panamalifestyle.ie/index.php?id_category=45&controller=category&id_lang=1

 

so in the example above I don't want to show all the subcategories but start showing the products straight away.

 

Any idea how to do that?

On your theme directory,go to category.tpl and check for this if statement around line 70:        

{if isset($subcategories)}

then simply put   <!--      before that line, Now go to the end of that if statement, and put    

-->         just before    {if $products}

i can't find the theme directory is this in the backend of things on the server and I have to go through my ftp to access it?

you need to use FTP service or file manager located in your webhosting control panel.

you will see then /themes/ directory

hi im trying to do this too but after ive done it i just get a white screen on my site and tips

it mean that you made some mistake in the code

make sure that you use the same method
