Dear All,

I use Prestashop: 1.5.3.1 and would like to sort items in categories (front) by default by quantity in stock.

The only possible sorting options for the moment are:

- by name

- by price

- by  date

- by manufacturer

- by position in category

Do anyone know how to add sorting by quantity in stock to the sorting options ?

Thank you very much for your help!

in back office go to preferences->products, then find Default order by and choose "product quantity" from dropdwon

Thank you for your answer, but in the 1.5.3.1 version this option is not available in .preferences->products=> Default order by

The only possibilities are:

- by name

- by price

- by  date

- by manufacturer

- by position in category

So my question is it possible to add this option there ?

Thank you for your help

Best regards

no problem, I know russian.

I have checked you theme, it seems that it's okay. you didn't notice that in your category sorting there is an option "По наличию"?I think this is what you are looking for

You know Russian, that is great :) It seems that  the option "По наличию" detects whether the item is in stock or not and puts items which are not available in the end and which are available in the beginning, but it does not take in account the number of items in stock.

It seems that my defauld theme doues not support this option..

it looks like your theme doesnt support this sort method!

Yes, this is exactly what I would like to have - default order by product quantity.

And I do not have it in the default theme.

Do you know how can I add it ? May be some lines of code to add to some files :)

What theme do you use in which you have it ?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

I use default prestashop theme, default theme which are attached to default prestashop installation.

You don't use default theme, just some external solution

I downloaded prestashop from the official prestashop website and use the default theme. How can it be that it's an external solution. And it's not only about Russian language. I have the same thing with a French website.

Do you know by chance how to add this option ?

Thank you in advance

Best regards

let's clarify.

you've got this option in back office, but you havent got it in front

that's right?

No, that's not correct. I do not have it in back office neither in front.

I don't really need to have it in front, but only in admin as order by default.

Thank you in advacne for your eventual help !
