[SOLVED] How works testing mode?

i read somewhere (i don't remeber exactly) there's a way to activate a test mode. where i can accept visit only from a specific ip

this is "maintenance" feature you can run it under the preferences > maintenance tab in your back office
 
this is how it looks like:

 
you need to select: Enable shop [no]
and define Maintenance IP (ip with granted access to store) all other ip adressess will be blocked
