The coding of forums is tricky, I realize at the top of the screen there is a langauge selector that will change the forum static language elements to other languages. But one problem I have been having recently is translating foreign posts. If you could use the href lang tag to not show the selected language, but the language of the sub forum, it would make it easier for people to translate pages.
Example, when I go to the french section, the lang tag still shows english, have it show fr in the doc type, then I can use the right click translate.
