1) Sorry, but I'm very new. Please advise how I should set for Carrier (Self Collect) with Zero Shipping Cost. Maybe my steps for setting up Carrier is not correct.
2) Is there is an option on the Admin Panel to set different Carrier for different product?

Please, Can anyone help ?
When Customer log-in and checkout 1 item thru shopping cart, but at the "Shipping" screen process - A message "There is no Carrier available that will deliver to this address" is being displayed at the "Shipping" screen.
If she proceed to payment screen, there would be error message "01.invalid carrier or no carrier selected".

I think you'll have to create a carrier with a null price.

* check to which zone the country where you sell belongs,
* create a carrier and in his configuration, check this zone,
* create a price (or weight) range (0 => 10000) for this carrier,
* in
Back Office >> Shipping
Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges
fill with 0.

Patrick you get an invalid range 1 error if you try to put 0 in either range box (Shipping>Price ranges or Shipping>Weight ranges)...I have the same problem I do not charge shipping or handling and use paypal to pay and my vendor dropshipps all my items....

Really need a step by step on this as this is the only thing that is keeping me from running my site!

Carriers States Countries Zones Price ranges Weight ranges

Thanks for your fast response on this :)

No need to set weight range ( specially if you're not filling weight information when creating products ) and price range.
It only serve as limitation where your carrier can be used or not. I believe its default value is already wayyyy high. ( 0 - 10000 something... )

Anyway, when you create a carrier you need to disable shipping & handling, choose the x mark.
Shipping --> carrier --> add carrier --> fill what needed like name/comment but choose the x mark on shipping & handling.
Also highlight the continent you're in.
Save it.

At shipping --> carrier page, below the page there is a carrier option part, set your newly carrier as your default.
After that... delete the rest carrier you created to avoid confusion.

Click shipping tab again.
You will see 2 tables named handling and fees.
Put zero to any field inside these two tables.
Now, your carrier is free shipping cost....

Anyway, I cannot use fees table at 1.2.3, but it work fine at 1.2.2, I hope you don't face any trouble with 1.2.3...

Rrr... even by clean install, straight clicking to shipping tab will result with those two tables being shown. ( 1.2.2 )
Well... the other carrier named My Carrier, not Test carrier. ( I delete the Test carrier... )
Beside as default setting, the weight / price range already wayyy too high.

EDIT : above statement also work for 1.2.3.
I guess I now know why 1.2.3 payment system is bugged.... and there is a solution for it... although probably a pain....

I always get a error when trying to enter 0 in one or min/max on either price or weight ranges...Prefference is set to 0

Back Office >> ShippingHandlingHandling charges:
$ 0
Free shipping starts at: $ 0
Free shipping starts at: lbs 0
Billing: According to total price: Yes According to total weight

Fees by carrier, geographical zone, and ranges
FeesCarrier: Free Shipping/Handling
Zone / Range
No ranges set for this carrier (Won't let me set 0 in both price and weight ranges without errors)

Back Office >> Shipping >> Carriers
CarriersCompany: * Allowed characters: letters, spaces and ().-
Carrier name displayed during checkout
With a value of 0, the carrier name will be replaced by the shop name

Logo:
Upload logo from your computer (.gif, .jpg, .jpeg or .png)

Transit time: * Time taken for product delivery; displayed during checkout

URL:
URL for the tracking number; type '@' where the tracking number will appear

Tax: No tax
Include tax on carrier, e.g., VAT

Zone: US

The zone in which this carrier is to be used

Status: X (note: does not seem to make if abled or disabled)
Include or exclude carrier from list of carriers on Front Office

Shipping & handling: X (note: does not seem to make if abled or disabled)
Include the shipping & handling costs in carrier price

Out-of-range behavior: Disable carrier
Note: Out-of-range behavior when none is defined (e.g., when a customer's cart weight is superior to the highest range limit)

Any suggestions on how to Null shipping so that it by passes it??

Thank you!

The "invalid carrier or no carrier selected" message appears when there is no carrier defined for the customer's zone. Go to Shipping > Carriers and edit each carrier and make sure that at least one of the carriers has the customer's zone ticked under Zones. If there is and it still isn't working, go to Shipping, select each carrier in the dropdown and click Save to make sure the prices are saved properly.

Hurray - Thanks to Rocky's suggestion to "go to Shipping, select each carrier in the dropdown and click Save to make sure the prices are saved properly."
I did that and now there is NO ERROR MESSAGE like “There is no Carrier available that will deliver to this address” OR “01.invalid carrier or no carrier selected”.

This is definitely a BUG in the program. I was about to give-up on it, after dealing with this issue for 1.5 month.
Hope this BUG could be fixed to help regain confidence for this wonderful program.

may be try this solution.
step 1:back office->[shipping]->[prices ranges]-> select [add new]
select your carrier(ex: xyz) give some value in from and to range
then save
step 2: backoffice->[shipping]
under [fees] select your carries(ex: xyz)
if all the zone values are 0.00 then put some value(ex:2.00).
save this settings
step 3: shipping->carrier-> select your carrier(ex: xyz) then save it.
step last:
try to check out in Front office.

I just cannot get past this issue guys - I have tried everything! It is very frustrating when you have tto save things down twice just for it to actually save and stick to the new saved setting. This happens with the Logo upload for the frontend website log. Now this problems is very annoying.

Rocky, what cabn I do - nothing that has been mentioned works?

maybe you could try using this method:
1. go to shipping> carrier> add new, do not forget to select the zone, save.
2. go to shipping> prices range> add new (name must match the carrier name that you created).
3. go to shipping> weight range> add new (name must match the carrier name that you created)
3. go to shipping> fees, input your shipping price.
