Multistore help

Hi all,

 

Firstly, I have searched, searched and searched. I also have read the Prestashop help on Multistore so appreciate some help before I go insane!

 

I have enabled Multi Store on my site.

 

I have my first domain www.example1.com.au - this site works all good

I have setup another shop in the same group. www.example2.com.au

 

I have parked example2.com.au in the cpanel on top of example1.com.au

I did not have any redirects setup, but it seems that prestashop creates a redirect - cPanel shows that the domain redirects to: %{ENV:REWRITEBASE}index.php (it reads this from .htaccess)

 

When i goto example2.com.au it just redirects to example1.com.au

 

if i then setup example1.com.au/test as the url and then go to that url in the browser it takes me to the new store.

 

Has anyone experience this before? any advice?

Could you upload a screenshot of you multi-store config ?

 

You can try to regenerate you .htaccess :

 

1. Go to Preferences > SEO & URL's

2. Disable/Enable Automatically redirect to the canonical URL

3. Save (the .htaccess will be refreshed)

4. Enable/Disable Automatically redirect to the canonical URL

5. Re-Save

I just tried this, didnt seem to make a difference,.

we would need to see the back office configuration of shop2..the .htaccess is of little use without seeing how your configured your 2ND store in the back office.

Hi El Patron,

 

Thanks for the link, I have read it top to bottom - whilst it gives the basics it does not help with trouble shooting. I think in this case my problems lie with my cPanel setup not the software.

 

There isnt much to configure on the back end of the 2nd shop.

I have set the main URL and enabled the URL.

the Domain and final domain are that of site2.com.au

Physical url = /

Virtual domain = blank

 

There just isnt any other settings to change..

I parked another domain site3.me

Setup a new shop and it works fine now.

I went back to site2.com.au and had a look at the Name Server settings... THE only difference was that i had the name server i.e NS1.server.com and the ip address as separate entries.

So i removed the IP address and that solved the problem for site2.com.au

I will make this topic solved.
