DorkV
I have my prestashop running now for one year. The shop was a bit slow so I decided to hire a (cloud) VPS. But still the shop is very slow. The hosting company tried everything to make it faster but still it is a bit slow. The pages are loading fast but when you click on an other product it takes 2-3 seconds before the page shows. In pingdome I see the page waiting time is high. How can I fix this?? Hope somebody can help me! http://goo.gl/SpPYXh Edited August 7, 2013 by DorkV (see edit history)

I found that site! My settings are exact the same! Only I cannot use a media server. My website is a mess when I try that. My hosting provider tried to use APC but then I cannot use the put in cart buttons and the pay button.

I emptied the tables but there is no improvement. I also emptied some large tables. Still no improvment. I discovered that I don't have the problem when I want to check out. Also the BO is very fast! vekia
350 isn't too much, everything should works well then. problem is somewhere else, have you got force compilation turned OFF ? what about cache? and the most important thing: what ps version you use?
karolwild
Maybe the reason is SSL Your server responded in 2.9 seconds

Those settings are how it supposed to be. I use version 1.4.9 I have another prestashop running on the same server. And this one is very fast! http://www.actiecam.nl/ Maybe the reason is SSL Your server responded in 2.9 seconds What do you mean? I has to be faster when I put SSL of? karolwild
My English is poor http://www.vlieger-gigant.nl/ Test your server responded in 2.4 seconds RapidSSL http://www.actiecam.nl/ Test your server responded in 0.32 seconds. no RapidSSL However, SSL certificates lengthen page load time

But on the product and home pages it is slow. And that doesn't use SSL?? Try this page in Pingdom: https://vlieger-gigant.nl/aanmelden?back=my-account.php Your website is faster than 94% of all tested websites This page: http://www.vlieger-gigant.nl Your website is faster than 37% of all tested websites Edited August 14, 2013 by DorkV (see edit history)
karolwild
I noticed that other stores which have a SSL installed They have a long server response time I think SSL slows down the whole shop All http:// Why this is so I do not know.
DorkV
But when I remove the SSL it is still slow... Or do you mean the SSL installed on the server (Slow website account)? And Actiecam.nl is on an other account?
