Is "Features" the only way to add units of measure?

I am looking for a way to add units to my products, for example "per 1000 pcs" or "box of 10".

 

Is adding a new product feature the only way to do this,?

have you looked at combinations? Here you can change the price impact by number of products...

 

I'm not real experienced with this but look at adding an attribute like 'per 1000pcs', assuming you want the product price to change based on different numbers, you would then add a combination linked to that attribute...

 

I may not be perfectly correct here but this should point you in the right direction to search the forum, and read the documentation.

Thanks for the answer, but I do not necessarily want the prices to be unit-dependant, but I would like to be able to sort the products by units....
