Hi all

 

Re combinations of products eg sizes it says

• The row in blue is the default combination.
  
• A default combination must be designated for each product.
  

 

but how do you set a default combination for all products without manually amending each product?

 

I need the attribute Size

 

would a suitable default attribute be "Select Size"

 

but how do you set this default without manually doing it to each product in admin?.

There is no built in way to do it for all products.

 

You could try to do it with a DB query, but you would need to MySQL knowledge for it.

 

The column to change is "default_on" in ps_product_attribute.

ok thankyou, do you know if i manually add the "select Size" attribute on each item would the csv attribute upload then work assigning all sizes automatically?

I am not sure what you are asking.

I have never actually used the combination import tool, but I would imagine it would have the option to set a default combination there,

I am not sure, I haven't used the import tool in a very long time.
