anabreu
Hi all... I was trying to follow a tutorial from this forum, to change some stuff on the "contactcontroller.php" file, and since I can't seem to do it locally on my editor (it says something like ""This page may have dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server" - I use Dreamweaver), I was going to use http://edit.orgapage.de/ to edit the file online. I loged into my ftp, and starting changing the file - I didn't finished, and didn't saved, as by mistake I closed the browser window *argh* immediatly after this, when I try to access on the browser the prestashop I was working on, either frontoffice or backoffice, I get this error: Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2013] Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading authorization packet', system error: 0 ...the prestashop is at: http://qip.pt/index.php "contactcontroller.php" was the only file I was editing. I don't know if http://edit.orgapage.de/ did an auto-save or something, but I've tried to put back an older, untampered file through ftp, but the result is the same: Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2013] Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading authorization packet', system error: 0 ...have I lost all my work?... Can anyone give me a light on what's happening?... Thank you SOOOO much, for any help you can provide, Ana Edited July 22, 2013 by anabreu (see edit history)
vekia
for the first, you should reupload original file to the ftp, overwrite actual file and try again i suppose that problem is not related to this, but you can try of course in my opinion problem is with your mysql database, can you test the connection?
anabreu
Thank you so much vekia for your suggestions. I think it had indeed something to do with the mysql database, or it was a server thing, because everything seems to be working good now *phewwww* I think I paniked "a bit"... Thanks again!!
