Set free shipping to start at £25 but it makes everything free?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I have a fairly basic setup. I have just created Royal Mail Standard Small and Next Day and the same again for larger parcels.

I want to offer free shipping over £25 so I set it in the Shipping tab in the

Free shipping starts at

section

Just put something in the cart that was £4.00 and it said free shipping?

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Sam

Chances are you have not set all the Price and Weight ranges correctly for the Shipping you have set up.

Here is a tip:

Correct:

0-1600gr

1600-3200gr

3200-4800gr

4800-6400gr

Wrong - (gaps in the ranges)

0 -1600gr

1601-3200gr

3201-4800gr

4801-6400gr

Weight ranges are inclusive/exlusive which basically means:

From and including 0, up to but excluding 1600gr, from and including 1600gr up to but exluding 3200gr, from and including 3200grup to but excluding 4800gr, from and including 4800 up to but excluding 6400gr.

As you see the last value is excluded from the range and included on the next range, if you have gaps in you ranges you will get an out of range behavior and in the case most likely the Free Shipping.

Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping to have a much simpler setup as my client doesnt weight their products and the postage amount isnt dependant on the price.

I thought it was ok to set all price ranges from 0- something quite high like £300 which is more than anything they sell.

Then when they are adding a new product they can select which postage options they want available when ordering.

Assume this wont work then?
