Horizontal navigation menu editors is ABOVE the admin panel menus

How can I fix this? See screenshot.

 

I cannot edit the horizontal menu, presumably because the configuration is outside of the form of the admin page.

this is default blocktopmenu module or maybe some modification?

This is a fresh install, no modules moved around or anything... I tried resetting the navigation menu, and when I did, I think that's when this occurred. Also, the cart block suddenly appeared in the header-- or if it was there before, it's alignment went to the center of the top-of-page. Very strange behaviour.

 

With all the problems I'm having, I'm starting to wonder if there's something seriously wrong with this install, or with Prestashop in general.

 

I've used Prestashop (older versions) on other sites about three times before, and did not have these sorts of problems.

i've got another question: you installed prestashop via official installation package, or maybe you used something like scriptaculous (pre installers from webhosting control panel) ?

It was a while ago now, but I seem to recall I did use an installation package which was part of Bluehost... I can't be certain though.

 

I'd rather not reinstall if that means I have to re-enter products, re-install and re-customize templates, etc.

I've been able to track down why things have been moving around inexplicably... it was my fault after all, which shouldn't be surprising.

 

However, still don't know why the navigation menu isn't editable. The content is actually appearing before many important lines such as javascript references, etc.

 

I'm trying to install jbx menu and it seems like this might be a solution.
