images not displaying

Recommended Posts

Hello I changed the them from the standard one to the one called Deco Evo.

Now for some products the images don't display. I products from 8 to 23 ok (there's none 1 to 7), then at 24 first two pictures are ok and then they don't dispay and same for the following products.

I tried recreating the thumbnail but I get an error message (copied below). Anyone can help ?

Thx a lot!

marco

Hi,

this error happens when the php script creating the images runs out of time. This time should be defined by your webhoster or (if you own a VPS p.e.) by the php.ini file you could have access to. So, now there are few options. You either buy your own VPS or (which will take longer) you duplicate your prestashop on your localhost using XAMPP, here the script won't be cut in the middle - you can regenerate all images in one take.

Hello thank you for your help. In the meantime I moved back the backed up version as it's long to resolve...

Anyhow, I can't see the php.ini. I tried to duplicate on local but I have problem.

I loaded the data-base and files, changed the setting.inc file and changed in the back office the URL to localhost.

I can see the back office but not the front office. I looked also in the DB and in the table ps_configuration i changed to localhost, so I really don't know what's wrong. Any idea ? (I'll try also to post in a separate topic). I use version 1.5.4

You got blank page in FrontOffice? If so, try debugging it in the /config/defines.inc.php.

Display errors from off to on.

Then you can copy the error message you'll recieve :-)

you should also try to regenerate .htaccess file, just remove it from root dir of your prestashop (don't forget about backup!)

Thank you Vekia,

I put everything on local and updating it, I'll re-load in a second time. The pics are ok, now I regenerate but I understand I really thought was more simple to make this change. I really appreciate your help. Just for info I tried also to write asking help to the developpers and got no answer so to be honest I am pretty disappointed with this theme

Hi thx for the suggestion, at the end I decided to re-load backed up version and work this out on local for reloading in future, too many troubles with this theme....
