problem with [new] badge on product

Hello,

 

I have a problem with the display of the [new] attribute in the $product array, actually this value is allways 0 so the parsing of the

{if isset($product.new) && $product.new == 1} .... {/if} never takes place.

Yesterday it was working just fine, but suddendly the "new" attribute is allways equal to 0 without me doing anything on the code.

I'm lost and can't seem to find any reason for it not to show.

my prestashop version 1.5.3.1

EDIT: It does concern the homefeatured module

 

EDIT2: Found out where it comes from, it does come from the Configuration::get('PS_NB_DAYS_NEW_PRODUCT') in the category.php files set to 20 days by default in the database, i changed it and it work fine, sorry for bothering you with such a dumb question.

you can also change value of this variable in the prestashop Back Office under the Preferences > Products tab
