Deleted Products Still In Database? Duplicate Content?

Hi wonder if you guys can help. Ive been racking my brains trying to get rid of some duplicate content issues and come across some products and categories that are the same page but have slightly different url for example swifttrading.co.uk/202-showers and swifttrading.co.uk/203-showers. but in catalog theres only the one which is /203-showers i have quite alot like this.

 

Do any of you guys know how to solve this because if i cant see it i cant delete it

Hi Paul,

 

For the example you've given, 202 is electric showers instead of just showers and I see it's in the Electric category instead of Plumbing, like 203-showers is. Maybe you've been inadvertently duplicating products/categories when attempting to reorganise them.

 

Have you any other examples of something similar? Sorry I can't be more helpful, it's hard to tell where things might be going wrong at this stage.

i couldn't find what was causing the problem, so i updated to 1.5.5 and it has all seemed to have disappeared,

did you re-run your google sitemap?  do you see those odd links?
