Recommended Posts

hi,

I have search through solution to get ride of the
stupid warning "There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address" while i try to checkout the item

in the back office, i have
Zone : Asia
Country : Singapore
Carrier: ABC (inside the detail, i have checked Asia Zone checkbox)
Default carier: ABC

So, what else i miss out?
by right it should allow me to check out without error above rite?

i m actually doing testing in my localhost, does it matter? i m currently in singapore

by the "customer" account, it's having address of blar blar... with the country Singapore
So, i assume the customer country Singapore will map with Singapore
BO > Shipping > Country > Singapore > Edit > Zone=Asia

then BO > Shipping > Carrier > "My testing Carrier" > Edit > Zone select Asia > Save

so, is there any missing step? :(

Sorry i did not take a look at your setup doc (i dont uses ms office)
but, your issue is one of 2:

either you have states enabled in your shop and the delivery address that you enter is missing the state
or you dont have your country as part of the zone enabled for this carrier.

go through:
countries
zones ((enable your country to be part of that zone)
carrier (add your zone to the carrier

hi, thanks for the reply.
here my feedback

either you have states enabled in your shop

States enable in country level, in Backoffice, Singapore States is disabled

delivery address that you enter is missing the state

For customer to edit address, the States field is hidden (mayb bcoz i have disabled in Backoffice as i mentioned earlier)

you dont have your country as part of the zone enabled for this carrier.

I am not sure how hard to tie Zone to country, i have define it and most probably correct, you can check my attachment once u got MS office

Anyway, thank for the help

... problem still doens't resolve, (i m using the latest, fresh install PShop)

This i have found a bug!!!

i realized that when my customer account checkout, it's using the "My Carrier" carrier service.
Then i try to update "My Carrier" few times by uncheck the Zone setting, then re-enable it back

Now, those country which are previously enabled to checkout, now having the same error
"There is no carrier available that will deliver to this address! "

So, i suspect is the DB "increment" of ID while every update of the details cause this serious issue

may be try this solution.
step 1:back office->[shipping]->[prices ranges]-> select [add new] select your carrier(ex: xyz) give some value in from and to range then save
step 2: backoffice->[shipping] under [fees] select your carries(ex: xyz) if all the zone values are 0.00 then put some value(ex:2.00). save this settings
step 3: shipping->carrier-> select your carrier(ex: xyz) then save it.
step last: try to check out in Front office.

I like your advice on getting the perfect tips about the carrier. It is working really well for others to know about the perfect tips easily. I like your way of approach in getting the better advice from others. It really manages anyone to show a lot of intent in achieving their better results.
I like your article very much about delivering of the address easily. It is great for anyone to make the great type of contribution out there.

Ok, i'm working on this for a few hours now and finally got a carrier in my front end of the shop. There is only one stupid thing left. For some reason my country (Belgium) gets the shipping fees of my worldwide shipping fees.

I mage a zone called Belgium and transfered the country from the Europe zone to the Belgium zone (which i made myself). For some reason it just doesn't maches the shipping fees.

When i change my address (customer address) in the front end, back again to the same story: No carriers found blablabla... i'm getting really frustrated about this shop. I've managed my shipping fees, weight and so on... al numbers are not 0 so it would have to work fine but it doesn't.

Anyone had this problem before. I'm only 2 steps away to launch the shop but those carriers are the problem, every time again. I'm getting tired about this.
