Close Your Eyes! (yet another SSL Problem)

Hi Guys and Girls

I have installed my prestashop, got the layout how i want it, using modules I want to use etc etc

Now I have SSL running which is ok, but its not great IE is reporting secure and non secure content on some pages I know that firefox/chrome are way better and hide these messages but most of my sales will come from companys which use IE. I do not want to scare them off with these messages. I believe most of these errors are to do with the pictures. If I click login or checkout it takes me to HTTPs but sometimes refers the pictures from HTTP if I use the offline creditcard module it refers to http:// on the credit card pictures which I have edited the Tpl files with no luck it still refers. If I park the cart and go shopping for more goods to add it remains HTTPs for awhile before switching back and resulting with more unsecure warnings.

Just to give you some background what I have done with the site because my host doesnt use SYMlinks I have had to copy all the contents from httpdocs to httpsdoc, any edits I do I do in both folders.. I know it sucks.

Anyone got a solution for me? sorry if I have not worded it right but ya.. its kinda hard to explain.

You can test at http://www.1st-things.com to produce the errors

Thanks for reading and hope I get the help I require

Ok tried in IE8, normal https was fine no problems, but when I tried to go from https to http pages then the warning popped up. If you select not to show unsecure data it shouldnt unformat the shop.

This has been fixed in the newst version of prestashop 1.2, you could try using that.

I have the same problem with my (1.1.0.5) shop when navigating from https to http, resulting in broken security warnings and would like to fix it before going live. I'm fairly certain it is due to the way all pages/templates use the "base" tag.

Is this for sure fixed if I take the time to upgrade to 1.2.1?

(upgrading the first day a package is released makes me VERY nervous).

Ahh yes thats the same problem I had, couldnt find a fix for it either so had to stop using statcounter

When you say stat counter is that one of the stat modules in the back office ? Do I need to uninstall some of the stat modules to stop the errors ?

I receive the secure - non secure warnings when I enable SSL - Im using presta 1.1 but really want to enable SSL for customer security.
