BlizzardUK
I have a small white area of space on my homepage that I want to put a picture. I used to use the advertising block to do this. Since upgrading my theme it seems to have vanished. If I go to the live edit page I can move the advertising block to where I want it, and have it enabled, but it just refuses to show up on my screen. The theme maker says their theme shouldn't affect it. Any ideas ? Prestashop 1.4.3 Edited April 13, 2013 by BlizzardUK (see edit history)
vekia
It isn't displayed at all? I mean, that you check page source (left mouse click -> show page source) for "<div class="advertising_block">" does it appear anywhere?
BlizzardUK
EDITED : I edited this because it shows up wrongly now, 2 of the images are messed up, but this only showed when I posted the URL here for you to see and I clicked it to make sure it worked. The main image is now showing up as an old image and the advertising block is showing up with an image I had a while back. This is all very odd. I will repost later on tonight when I have looked in to it more. To answer your question though, yes, the URL and info shows up in the source, and oddly like mentioned above it is now showing a old image, not the latest one uploaded. EDIT 2 : This is SO weird, it shows up wrongly in this profile of Chrome (shows old image in the ad block and welcome logo is old too), yet Firefox and my other Chrome profile the ad block doesn't show up at all and the welcome logo is correct. What the heck is going on there ? EDIT 3 : After 2 refreshes it now shows up perfect in this profile of Chrome but still won't show up in Firefox or other Chrome profile. I tried a totally different machine and it works fine on that. So what can I say ? Some sort of strange cache issue ? vekia
it is probably browser cache issue, you should clean browser cache and then try again. Your browser remember old image. I think that this should help but of course im not sure at all
