'State Required' - No State Menu in account creation

During account creation, the default country USA should have a drop menu for customer to choose states...nothing is there.

The states are enabled and included in the database

Thank you for your reply but al things related to Country, State, Zone have been enabled (Yes) and checked in the database.
When looking at the source code of the authentication.php page linked above it shows the states code is there but for some reason it is not showing on the form.

State field are not showed.

Contain states = "yes", states are entered selected the country Brazil, but the field are not showed at form. And I cant finish sign up because the system says that state is required for this contry.

Can anyone help me, please?

Same problem. No drop down with the state if USA is picked. Hit save- get requires state error.

Tried it in FF and IE, also newest java,

looks lika a java error....

Hi.

My problem was that the file prestashop/js/tools/statesManagement.js was not on the server. I copied it and now the state select box works fine.

I have the same problem

working on 1.3.2.3

states enabled for usa

statesManagement.js copied in the tools of the theme

theme is updated

= no display of the dropdown state selecter in ff nor in ie nor in chrome
and finaly
error "01.this country requires a state selection" but there no list of state to choose from.

Anyone found a solution for that? I am having the same problem and with that loosing orders from USA costumers.

Everything is checked correct, this problem just start happening now after 2months from updated to version 1.3.1

UPDATE: Just manage to solve. After try all options check, unchecked, delete country's on database and reset than again. I finally decide re-upload the same files I have on my local install that are working to the server to see if work. So first try and no lucky,
look again on the back-office on my local install and all was setup the same why as was on my server version.

At the end decide upload on more time and during the upload I notice the files were uploading to the server with 640 permission, than my mind clicked, went to server compare permissions with other files on the same folder and saw that they were 755 so I changed and all USA states are back.
