[SOLVED] 301 redirect for discontinued products - how?

Hello,

 

what is the best way to set up a 301 redirect for discontinued products? The friendly URL thing is messing me up!

 

I tried writing the code like this:

 

redirect 301 /1-category/123-products-friendly-url.html /1-category/

 

But that is not working.

 

So does anyone have an idea on how to write a proper 301 redirect for disabled products?

It automatically redirects all disabled products to their parent categories, and deleted / invalid ID products to the homepage.

Hi Tomer,

 

I actually have bought that module, I'm currently using 1.3.4 but if I disable a product, it redirects to the Home page, and not to the parent category. Was that feature introduced later?

 

If yes, I will need to buy an upgrade, as I have had this module for over a year.

Great, it did solve all my problems! Just bought the upgrade, and as always, great module! Definitely worth the money.
