Deactivate product attribut instead deleting

Hi

if I have a product with a lot of attributes, how can i deactivate one of the attributes? I dont want delete it, because I need this in later time.

There is no built in way to disable combinations.

 

You can change the stock to 0 and it will not be available to order, but would be seen (with a message it cannot be ordered).
