Product Route Url Changes 404 Error : Seo

Hello,

 

I changed the URL Products Route into SEO & URL back office in order to show http://www.mydomain.com/product.html instead of http://www.mydomain.com/category/product.html

 

The problem I have is that new URLs are working fine, this is product pages are showing correctly

thought this new http://www.mydomain.com/product.html URLS and menu items are correctly directing to this new URLs but, if I write down the old ones, I get a 404 Error.

 

This is a problem as what Prestashop suppose to do is to apply a 301 redirect from the old ones to the new ones.

This is because now I have plrenty of 404 Errors in WMT and is seing too duplicate Meta Tags ( descriptions and title), the old ones and the new URLs.

 

The new parameter I have in the URL products route is {id}-{rewrite}.html
