Anyway to add a box within product page for customer to write

Hi all, on our website, we currently sell vinyl lettering and are wondering if it's possible to add a box for customers to type in within a product.

 

As we supply lettering, this would be perfect for the customer to type the lettering there after.

 

This information would then need to be included in with their purchase.

 

Is this possible and how please?

It sounds like what you want to do can be accomplished with PSs native Customization feature. In your product BO click the Customization tab and you can add a text field to the product page. Give it a name and check 'required' if you need to.

It is a native PS feature. Nothing to purchase.

 

I don't have an example. Create a demo product and try it at your store.

Thank you very much, I see and have done that and the box appears at the bottom of the page.

 

 

I was wondering if it could actually appear in the text block?

 

Another thing, I was wondering if the box can be be made smaller (not as high)

You can edit product.tpl and make any changes you want to that block, move it, add CSS code to change the site etc...
