david_king
This is the second time this has happened. As I suspected PS PrestaShop™ 1.5.3.1 is still very unstable. Unfortunately I have now wasted a weeks work. The end of my URL for any product page looks like this: /index.php?id_product=9&controller=product can anyone help...? I have changed a few modules configs and gone back and changed...please any help would be appreciated.
david_king
I did enable the Layered navigation block and thing this has altered addresses in main prog I think this is what happened last time but can not get my shop to display product pages. I would have thought this bug have been sorted in the beta version as it is a very basic issue ut one that make presta shop totally useless as a ecommerce solution. Very dissappointed as I was very pleased with 1.
benjamin utterback
Hi David, Could you provide us the URL of your store. Also, have you turned on error reporting? Please add define('_PS_MODE_DEV_', true); in /config/defines.inc.php and @ini_set('display_errors', 'on'); define('_PS_DEBUG_SQL_', true); in /config/config.inc.php Is this a fresh install or an upgraded store? benjamin utterback
Hello, No, I was not able to get through Checkout. An 500 Error is a server related error but maybe we can figure this out. When was the last time you created a backup file? You should make a new backup and go to "Preferences >SEO URLs> and toggle off and on the setting "Friendly URL" to regernate the Htaccess file. Let us know if this changed anything.
david_king
As this isn't a 'live' site as yet I have done no back up....toggled friendly URL thingy Edited January 9, 2013 by david_king (see edit history)
david_king
Ok so I have now found that if the "Paypal" module is disabled you can get through to products. When it is enabled you can't it seems if I enable any payment method it disables the product pages...btw the manufacturer pages are renamed as artists

SerjLeon
I have the same problem of product pages giving me 500 error after certain changes I've made in the BO. v. 1.5.3 I switched on Apache optimization (in Performance), which sure did speed up my shop, but product pages were gone. That (I suppose) caused the problem for me. However after switching it off and restoring the htaccess from previous backup it didn't solve the problem. Switching on/off url rewrite and etc didn't help either. Even more strange, I have nothing in cPanel Error Log (after numerous attempts to access product pages and failing). Help needed! SerjLeon
Update (solved for me) After asking the hosting company to restore a backup from 1 day before, I still had the problem, or I thought I still have it. Very silly of many people, including me, we forget to check our websites from different sources. It was working ok, but only my browser couldn't show it properly even after Ctrl+F5 refreshes. People, after suggested fixes, please do clean your caches everywhere, and better double-check from another source. cheers
