translation new theme problem

Hi

 

I have translation problem, I make velvetsky as my theme in test shop.

 

But there's a translation problems.

 

All my translation to Polish are 100 or 99%

 

I exported translation to theme so it looks the php file looks the same as the rest translations. All codes are correct.

 

But the translation on Front Office is in 30% maybe.

 

It translate cms plus few things.

 

But buttons and all therest are leaved in english version.

 

Can somebody can help me, or maybe had the same problem and solve it.

Hi InTooDeep,

 

when you import translation pack you can choose theme which should be translated. I don't know your PS version but you need to find your (administrator) profile in BO and change language (in PS 1.5.2 administration>employees)

Hi thanks for replay, I use 1.8.4;.2 it's compatibile with the theme. Ok but what with the front office lang? I have ull translation in /translations

 

and in theme /lang folder for Polish

 

I really dont know Why it still input english, maybe I can manage this easy in back office.

 

you can see that Language is set to Polish, but "cart" on the header isn't translated (so its probably some cart module translation but it's completed in PL) "Quantity" "On sale!" "more info" etc are still in english.

 

In front office translation I have fully translated this, I don't know why it display English.

go to BO>translations, choose front office translation and Polish language. Check how many fields are translated in your theme (I can't remember PS 1.4 but I suppose there you can see default theme and your custom them listed). Find for example "add to cart" text if it's translated.

OK, but are you sure those "shopping-cart-product-line" and "shopping-cart" sections are in your theme or default?

I have same translation in shopping cart as france germany etc.

 

Theres no lines of most of the lines from BO, they must be somewhere else.

It's probably so easy and I'm just ignorant, or its in config files and I don't know where and how to change it or in Cookie.php or some AJAX js files.

I've installed PS 1.4 and....I got it!

If you export language pack as gzip file there is information about theme name inside. So if you made your translation for default theme it's not applicable for another. Solution is to copy pl.php file from lang directory in default theme (for which you made Polish translation) and paste into lang directory in your custom theme. If that's not clear just send me PM (I'm also from Poland).
