[Closed] Implementing SSL on just login & checkout pages

Can anyone advise how I am supposed to implement my ssl on just the checkout and login pages?

I installed a cert today on my website and I am not sure how to apply this to these pages. It would be nice if Prestashop had an option in the BO to just select pages to use the ssl with!

I have enabled ssl in the BO. I am using Prestashop v1.4.8.3.

Any help would be great...

Thanks in advance.

What is up with these support forums!

I have tried to use them now since learning about Prestashop a couple of months ago. I have probably created 6 or 7 new topics asking for support and I cannot recall getting an answer on any one of them! It seems that if your question has not already been answered and you can't find a previous post with an answer, you are doomed!

I thought the idea of a support forum was to offer your fellow web people some support?

Come on guys...

If someone can please tell me if I am doing something wrong that is preventing my questions from getting answered that would be great :)

From some further research I found out that the login, checkout and contact-us pages should be enabled with https: by default when you enable SSL.

This is not the case for my store. I have a separate post regarding enabling SSL via the radio buttons here - http://www.prestasho...-radio-buttons/

I though these were two separate issues, but I am now thinking they may be related. I will update some information there post further information there also.

Hopefully someone who knows a bit more about this will see the post and respond!

I actually had to recruit a PHP developer to solve this one for me. I have advised him that if he is interested in doing this for other Prestashop users then he should respond on this post with a contact email address. So keep an eye on the post to see if he wants to.

Hope this helps...

I'm having the same problem - running PS 1.5.2.0, SSL enabled and it appears that everything is set up correctly on the server in terms of the certificate, etc (exclusive IP). However, when put an item into the cart and try to view the cart, I get a "Error occurred: 404 - not found". Essentially I get this error when I try to access any of the pages that should now be covered under the https url. I'm also not able to login into the BO on the https url. This is causing huge problems as my store is no longer functional since orders cannot be placed. I really need some help with this.

Thanks!

You can send a message to this guy to see if he can help - easycoder

He was able to sort my issue for a reasonable fee.

Hope this helps...
