How can I add PayPal Standard Payment?

AwakeningStore.Com

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Well, this is my first topic here. I am representing AwakeningStore.Com and I would like to activate PayPal feature of Payment Standard that allows us to accept payments from credit card owners who do not have PayPal accounts:

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-payments-standard

We already have business verified account with PayPal since 2003. The challenge I am facing right now is how to activate this feature on our Prestashop store?

I mean what are the steps that we and our developer should go for generally speaking to implement this feature successfully?

Is it compatible with specific PrestaShop versions or not?

Thanks,

~Mohammad

You have to make sure the module is installed and after it you can configure it in the new link that will show on the paypal module in back office module page.

I believe you need an api name, pass and auth code. All of which can be obtained through paypal's profile tab in the tools under api. I believe it is called seller tools or something like that. just search api after logging into paypal in the paypal search.

If you need anything else let me know I will try and help you out.

I believe the OP was asking about PayPal Standard. What does that have to do with PayPal Pro ??? Two completely different things.

Exactly. You need to download the module from here http://addons.prestashop.com/en/payments-gateways-prestashop-modules/1748-paypal.html and enable the Paypal Websites Payment Standard.

you might also want to un-check the express checkout option when configuring the module.

unless you want that feature, for me it's useless as I need my customers to add information to their order as well as being able to upload files/photos for design work.

Here's an article directly from PayPal for PrestaShop - a little outdated, but has some good info.

And here's an even more detailed article explaining where to find API Keys

in you account dashboard (although I believe you need a PayPal Premier / Business / Website Payments Pro account).
