Fatal Error - Upgrade from 1.4.9 to 1.5

I've been upgrading manually from 1.4.9 to 1.5 and keep getting a blank page for my shop and can't log into my BO.

 

When I turn the error display on, I get the following:

What do I do now?

I'm having the same problem upgrading from 1.4.6.2 to 1.5.0.17. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

I suggest to restore a backup and try again... I've never found the autoupgrade to be the most reliable...

I wasn't doing an autoupgrade. I was doing a manual upgrade; and so was Dee P. based on his original post.

Cause of the problem: your site, database not updated !

So, your site files are new, but; the database of old..

If the database was not updated by the upgrade process, isn't that caused by Prestashop?

With your site's database, the files are not compatible.

Probably: the database is out of date. (do not update)

 

by PrestaShop version 1.5, upgrade difficult..

Yess, PrestaShop 1.5 Update system, the need to improve!

solution is quite simple ......

just clear your config catalog and load only settings.php file from old shop and rest of files from new zip installation
