ajensen27 Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 Hello, So when I'm changing settings and I click save, it says the settings were saved correctly but then I go back into the option and nothing changed. It's also doing this when I'm trying to add a new category or product. Says the category or product was added sucessfully but then it doesn't show. Are my permissions or something incorrect? I installed Prestashop 1.5 using the Softpedia software that my hosting provider provides. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Alex 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
the.rampage.rado Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 I'm experiencing the same issue even in incognito mode (so the browser is with turned off cache and cookies). It's an cache issue. When you click on some setting, click save the new setting is saved OK. When you go back to the same page cached version of it is showed (before the updating of that setting). You have to click refresh then the actual new page settings is displayed. I have this problem on all the BO pages even translation ones. You can imagine how frustrating it is to translate 100 or so rows click save then translate new rows and the one you translated last time get reset to null because you've been working on the old version of the page the most recent time. I'm experiencing this with Chrome and Firefox both updated. With and without cache turned on and off within PrestaShop. So I have to click numerous times refresh just to update some settings... annoying .... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ajensen27 Posted September 17, 2012 Author Share Posted September 17, 2012 I use Chrome but just tried doing it in IE8 and still not working. Just tried to create a category, it said "Creation Successful" but then nothing shows in the category list. I even tried going to the front end to see if I could see the category there but nothing. Guest Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 I ended up doing a complete re-install. But i think it may have been linked to an errant module. Try uninstalling all modules (start with recently installed / update modules Then if this is an upgrade, try reverting to the defaul theme, and uninstall all 3rd party modules as one may not be compatable Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
