Bors
Hello. I'm running 1.4.8.2 in catalogue mode. I have a few categories, one of them with four subcategories. The problem is that all the items in those subcategories also get listed in the category as well, even thowgh they are not checked to do so in the back office. Of possible relevance: - The items were originally entered in the category before I moved them to subcategories - I rearranged the order of the items show through the drag-and-drop in the back office. However, while that order seems to still hold in the subcategories, the listing in the category (where the items should not show in the first place) seems completely random - However, I did make a new test product specifically in the subcategory and it still showed in the category too... Any ideas? Edited September 10, 2012 by Bors (see edit history)
itcwebman
I had a few like this also (although I'm using shop mode) and it took me a while to sort them out. I'm a little stuck without seeing your shop. When you are in the parent category, I presume that at the bottomw under: Products in this category it says No products found in category "your category here"? Sorry if I'm not being a huge help! Bors
You can have a look at http://www.vkuniforms.com/catalogue/category.php?id_category=4 Also, if by "parent" you mean the "home" folder, no problems there.
itcwebman
You can have a look at http://www.vkuniform...p?id_category=4 Sorry, Silly limited internet here at work, so can't see your site. Any chance of a screenshot and the corresponding back office? Also, if by "parent" you mean the "home" folder, no problems there. No, I was thinking of the subcategory parent Edited September 10, 2012 by itcwebman (see edit history)
tomerg3
This is cause by the Layered Navigation module, I believe you can modify it to list only products from the current category.
itcwebman
Seems like it - see here also: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/186787-only-some-sub-categories-displayed/ I would like to know where this module is as I don't think I've come across it? tomerg3
It's in the module tab, just like all the other modules...
Bors
Had forgotten that module is active by default. And there is a "Show products from subcategories" setting in it that is enabled by default. Yeah... OK, issue solved.
