Egungon
So, I'm launching my website soon. I have a splash page until the day I launch the website. It's at www.techessentials.net. The webstore/prestashop is currently at techessentials.net/prestashop. What is the best way to move the webstore to the main page, techessentials.net? Egungon
I'm still running in to problems changing directories of my shop. It was at www.techessentials.net/prestashop and I moved it to www.techessentials.net root folder. This is about the 3rd time I'm trying to change it to my main website, and still having problems. The back office is working, but looks different.... weird... The directory I moved the website to is not working, www.techessentials.net. I followed all the steps/instructions here: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/System+Administrator+Guide#SystemAdministratorGuide-MovingPrestaShop I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, or what's going on. I planned on launching my store/website this week, but I've been running in to so many problems. Any help would be greatful.
Egungon
In Firefox, it's saying: "The page isn't redirecting properly, Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." No idea.... lol Well if it's that weird, I certainly look forward to seeing it. When you look at as many sites daily as I do, it's always nice to see something a little different, especially if I'm able to help you identify how to properly fix it . -Mike

Helmuts Meskonis
.. would like to note that 500 error is a normal problem after you have mover your db and all the files 1) enter your administrator panel on the new domain (that will be the only available one) 2) Go to Preferences=>SEO & URLs 2.1) enter the correct url for shop and ssl (if you don't use ssl - use the new domain url) 2.2) regenerate Robots.txt 2.2) under Preferences=>Maintenance disable (save) and enable (save) the shop the shop should be fine now
