CheapLeaflets
Hi, I'm very new to all this and wonder if someone can help? I am testing Prestashop to see if it works with my required product variations. I have a basic spreadsheet of my printed products with a header row: ID, Material, Size, Sides, Quantity and Price. The Size, Sides and Quantities appear on drop down lists when the product is chosen as I have imported them as groups/attributes. The column of prices is specific to each row so must only appear with a specific combination of the other variations. I would like the price box to change according to which of the other three options are selected, how would I import these without having to type each price in manually? I also need to hide the default Quantity box and only show my set quantities Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Claire
Mike Kranzler
Hi Claire, You can actually do this using our built-in Combinations Generator. Check out a demo of this in action here. I hope this helps. -Mike
CheapLeaflets
Hi Claire, You can actually do this using our built-in Combinations Generator. Check out a demo of this in action here. I hope this helps. -Mike Hi Mike, Thanks, but sadly that doesn't help. We do not hold stock as everything is printed to order, the product itself does not have a set pre tax retail cost, each combination has its own unique price, so the price impact multiplier is not relevant. Any other suggestions? Thanks Claire
Mike Kranzler
Hi Claire, If each individual attribute has its own unique impact on the price, the combinations generator is exactly how you would do this. The screencast I posted above was just a basic example, but you can add a different impact for every single different attribute or feature if you would prefer. If this is not the case, can you please provide a specific example of a single product and how you would like to have it ordered? -Mike
CheapLeaflets
Hi Mike, I have imported the attributes Groups:Values and made the combinations but how do I import the price in for each combination so when the particular combination is picked it shows the correct price? The 4 groups are Material (2 types), Size (4 sizes), Sides (one of two), Quantity - say, 7 different quantities e.g. 250, 500 etc, so you would order 1 lot of 250 or one lot of 500. In the combinations csv import, I have tried to import the cost under either the price column or the wholesale price column but I can't see where it appears once imported, I still get £0.00 shown for the price Thanks Claire
Mike Kranzler
Hi Claire, I strongly feel that if you watch my screencast all the way through, you'll see at the very end that this is exactly how you can configure all of these various different combinations with unique prices for every individual feature. If not, can you please explain where exactly something is missing? -Mike
CheapLeaflets
Hi Mike, I have watched the screencast. You have a shoe with a pre tax retail price of $100, then adds $5 or $8 depending on the colour or size (impact of choice on price). If leaflets are £0 wholesale then 250 A5 leaflets on 130gsm gloss art printed one side are £40, but 500 are £43, if they are A4, 500 are £64. There is no logicical calculation or "impact", just a price for each combination. I can put this figure into the impact box and choose increase, and I can see it appears, but there are so many combinations that it would be impossible to type each price in manually, I'd want to import them. Can you explain how I can make the price from the combinations csv appear for each combination in the impact (increase) box? Thanks Claire
CheapLeaflets
HI, Back from a day off and I'm wondering if anyone has an answer to this problem? I need to import the prices from the CSV so they show up in the impact box as that seems to be the only way for them to show when the particular combination is chosen from the dropdown selections Claire
