Creating a template + Back office

Hello!

 

I'm creating my first online store ever and I'm facing a little bit of problems.

It's nessecary for me to learn how to create a new template for Prestashop. I was starting to study it and the guide says:

 

" 1. Go to back-office's "Preferences" tab, then its "Appearance" and its "Themes" section.

 

2.Select the new theme and click Save.."

 

But where the hell is the preferences -tab or the appearance -tab or its themes -section?

I don't think that my back office is even the same as everybody else's. I have no idea why.

My back office looks like this:

I wonder if I'm just being blind. Or can you tell me where I can find the theme -section to change my theme?

 

And if you have some good tips for creating a template, I would appriciate them.

I'm modifying the original Prestashop theme atm, but I'd love to learn how to create a whole new theme for Prestashop... Let's see if I could learn that sometime.

And now I found the demo from Prestashop's official website, and it seems like my shop is missing the upper navigation... Why is that?
