Shop By Features Per Category

I'm in doubt wether to start a new shop in Magento or Prestashop.

 

At this moment I installed a fresh copy, made some categories / products etc. But can't seem to find out how to setup up features per category and use them to shop by. So for example:

 

I got 3 categories:

 

- carradio

- speakers

- amplifiers

 

Under carradio I want the features 'USB (yes/no)' , 'IPOD (yes/no)' , 'TYPE (option1/2/3/4)' etc.

 

And in the frondend while shopping it must be possible to go to the category 'carradio' and select on this criteria's.

 

Is this possible by default (am I totally missing something?) if not is there an addon that provides this service?

Hi MrCaBLeGuY,

First of all, welcome to PrestaShop! It sounds like what you're looking to do can be handled by our Layered Navigation Module, which you should have preinstalled on your site. In your Back Office, go to the Modules tab, make sure Layered navigation block is installed and enabled, and then click "Configure" in order to start setting it up.

I agree with mike.Im using the Block layered module and the great thing is that you can difine what filter to be shown, for each category, independent of eachother.
