lovehyesung
Hi, I've manage to use a image as background, but it brings new problem. Attached picture 1 is what my site looks like now. The entire center column is transparent, so my informations in this place are hard to see. I want my site to be like attached picture 2 or 3, there is a a background for all columns or a background for center column. Can anyone help me please!! Carolina Custom Designs
To change the color of your center column look in themes>yourthemename>css>global.css Around line 280 find #center_column styling -- add the following to your stylesheet: background:#fff; This will change the center column background to white (for black just add #000). Hope this helps! Marty Shue

Carolina Custom Designs
I was coming back to explain it a little better but I see you figured it out Glad it worked. Also, I appreciate the fact that you returned to say 'Thanks'. You'd be surprised at how many I help that never even say thank you. If I can help again please let me know. hippooflove
I agree Marty. As a novice I do not help many people but I always try to thank people who do help me. I am always grateful when a problem is sorted. Following on the from the issue you answered above, do you know if you can add text to a background template. My site http://www.homesteadandgarden.co.uk has a plain background to the left and right. I wondered if I could add something like Made in Britan in text over it. your thoughts would be welcome. Carolina Custom Designs
Hi Barry! Yes, you can do that. It might be a bit of a challenge unless you know what you are doing but it can be done. Marty Shue

Carolina Custom Designs
You just need to add 10px of padding to your center_column. This will give you the effect you are looking for. center_column can be found in global.css Hope that helps! Marty Shue
lovehyesung
Hello Marty shue, There are so many #center_column in global.css...I try to change some of them, but the effects are not what I want...May be I have to try some else, or I have to change more than one place. I'll keep trying.
