Subcategories not displaying on new product page

I have opened PSCFI-3291 on the bug tracker website about 2 weeks ago regarding this issue. I was contacted by Alain and I replied, but I have not heard anything back from him since. We have taken our site live, but we have had to limit the products because I cannot add them appropriately to the subcategories.

 

 

Has anyone had this issue? Has anyone been able to solve it? Is there anyway I can escalate my bug tracker?

Hi Nick,

I will pass this along to Alain to find out his status on this issue. In the meantime, have you tried adding a new subcategory for further testing?

I have added a new subcategory and still have the issue. When I edit an existing product, it shows the correct category in the default drop down list, but the tree is never populated. When I add a NEW product, it will only go to the Home category and the tree will not populate.

i think i'm having a similar problem in prestashop 1.4.4.1

i've just been creating product categories and sub-categories - there are three levels of subcategories before reaching the actual products,

when i try to add new products to the final level sub-category, the product ads to the first level category (1 beneath home) instead of where i specify for it to be

is this the problem you had ? have you since found a solution ?
