Slider in header

Hello, I would like to put a slider in the header of my site, www.vacationprovisioning.com, which is using the theme pre3a. It has a large masthead image and I would like to replace that with a slider of the same size.

 

I have tried a couple sliders and it seems that either the JS conflicts with PS JS or I am not getting the correct paths to the files. My best efforts are exhausted.

 

Is there a simple slider that I can use that will get this done. It doesn't need to fancy, just simple next and back controls for a couple of images.

 

Please help.
