[Solved] After Reinstall, Cannot Login to Back Office - apparently bad username

I am using v 1.3.2.3.

I had installed and had everything working well; I was just taking the time to enter all the products. Then everything started collapsing--505 errors spread quickly. I was able to backup my database.

I ended up deleting all folders and files, then uploading the original files again before running through the install process.

Everything went well in the install until it detected the existing database. I got past this, but now I cannot login to the admin area.

Error message after entering e-mail and password: "There is 1 error -- employee does not exist, or bad password"

I asked it to send me the replacement password, but I get the same message.

Should I simply delete everything (including the database) and start over ... then later import the database to the server again?

Ideas or suggestions?
