whywhy
How can I list multiple product pages and only have 1 physical product? I need this to manage stock. Imagine I sell printer cartridges and a single cartridge fits multiple printers, I would like to list this cartridge as HP Xxxx Cartridge, Canon XXXX Cartridge, Samsung XXX Cartridge, etc.. (as different product pages) but only have 1 cartridge which fits all these models... I could assign 50 stock to each of those pages, but this is not efficient, I want to assign stock once (e.g. 1000) and then if someone buys Samsung XXX Cartridge my stock becomes 999, if someone buys HP XXXX cartridge, my stock becomes 998, etc..Hope this is clear and someone can help me. Are there any functions in Prestashop to help me with this?Alternatively, I could create 1 product page and in the description explain that it fits all of those printers, but this is not what I want. shokinro
you register the same product in multiple categories.you can register your Cartridge in both Canon and HP printer categories.I am not sure if this is what you are looking for. Also you can replicate the product by click replicate icon
whywhy
Using duplicate function doesn't control the stock. Using the categories works, but it would be better if I could list different products instead of listing 1 product in different categories. Now I can only write general things in the product title which is not good for SEO, like "High quality cartridge" and only in the description I can write that it fits Samsung xxxx and HP xxxx, but I would like to create 2 different products with the same stock management, 1st would be Samsung XXX cartridge and 2nd would be HP xxx cartridge. shokinro
another option I can think is to use attribute combinations.in this way, you can control the inventory(stock).I am not sure if it will meet your needs. You can take a look on combination tab of product detail page.but before you will need to add attribute groups via Catalog - Attributes & Groups
