Prestashop 1.4.1.0 and removal of some little things

Hi all,
I have prestashop 1.4.1 and I wanted to change something thing for example:
- to the product name was longer than 35 characters.
- remove some items from the registration form
- and to hide the text that are in this category not found.
but procedures that I find here does not function on my prestashop
If anyone knows I would like.
Agreement perhaps a reward for help.
