Adding Wero as payment method

I've googled already over several weeks, unfortunately there is absolutely no information on this at all.

Has anyone been able to add the new european payment method "Wero" to their webshop?

 

Would be good to know.

There is no direct Wero integration possible. You have to do this via a payment provider e.g. Stripe is supporting it

Why is that not possible? In the end I just need an option where users can chose Wero and then get an E-Mail with my Wero phone number and/or Mail and can just send the money there with the order number.

Why would I need a middle provider?

I guess that would be a "private" money transfer - not sure if this is compliant with Wero policies. If you simply send the infomation to do so you could simply copy&/adjust bankwire module. Unfortunately they don't offer any open API that can be implemented for business transactions

Thanks for the reply. I'm just slowly understanding how Wero works.

Let's just assume, the copy & adjust method is allowed: It does take more effort, than to just copy/past the ps_wirepayment folder and change some instances of "Bank transfer" strings to "Wero", right? (Asking, because I have non expertise whatsoever with making own prestashop modules).

Have you even talk with wero support, they have docs. for merchants but locked on register wall. Best way to ask if they have any API.

Wero doesn't have support, only within the app. But when I open the app, it just asks me which bank I use and then can't do anything else.

Hi Maalik,

I am interested as well and surprised that there is no solution on the market yet. I found an intermediate solution - I extended bank transfer to WERO and Bank Transfer. I just added our WERO data to the e-mail which is sent out after you choose bank transfer.

Hoever, if someone has a real solution/module/addon to accept WERO payments, please let us know.

Wero is essentially the new name for the Dutch payment method iDEAL. Unlike iDEAL, Wero will be available across the whole of Europe.

To use Wero on your webshop, you will still need a PSP (Payment Service Provider). While it is possible to create a temporary payment link using Wero, offering Wero as a payment method without a PSP is not permitted.

The rollout and naming of Wero depend on the country you operate in. In practice, this means that providers such as Mollie, Adyen, and Stripe already support Wero, although in some cases it may still be shown under the iDEAL name.
