after upgrading from 1.7.8 to latest version with 1-click upgrade module

i get messages like 

The controller HOME is missing or invalid.

The controller AdminPsxDesignParentTab is missing or invalid.

The controller AdminPsMboTheme is missing or invalid.

All your errors are in the Prestashop corporation modules. You could try deleting them and see whether that works (keep a backup so that you can put them back).

i uninstalled and deleted the relevant modules and re installed them

In case you encounter:

"AdminPsxDesignParentTab is missing or invalid" 
- this happened to me when I used 1Click upgrade for updating 8.1 to 8.2

1. Go to "Modules" -> "Module Manager"
2. Search for "design"
3. Try to enable (or reset) "PrestaShop Design" module
3. Go to "Design" -> "Customization" (now it should work)

In case of similar error messages try the same but look for the corresponding modules. (mbo, etc)

another bug i faced was that i could Not Save Products on 8.2.1 so i rolled back to 8.1.7
