Issues with mod_rewrite and Image Display in PrestaShop on CentOS 7

Hi,

I am encountering a persistent issue with my PrestaShop 1.7 online store, hosted on a CentOS 7 server, related to the display of product images. Despite several tests and adjustments, I have been unable to resolve the issue.

Problem Description:

Product images are not displaying correctly, and I'm receiving "the requested file not found" errors in the browser console.

This issue seems to be related to mod_rewrite, as images load correctly when I deactivate this module.

In the "Traffic & SEO" section of my PrestaShop back office, I see a message stating that mod_rewrite is either not active or its configuration cannot be verified.

Steps I Have Taken:

I verified that mod_rewrite is enabled and working on CentOS 7.

I reviewed and adjusted the AllowOverride configuration in Apache’s httpd.conf file.

I checked the permissions of the image files and directories.

I regenerated the .htaccess file from the PrestaShop backend.

I reviewed Apache error logs but did not find any clear clues.

Additional Details:

PrestaShop Version: 1.7.5.2

Server: CentOS 7

This issue does not occur in my test environment on Debian 11.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or guidance to resolve this issue. Is there anything specific in CentOS configuration that might be causing this issue? Any additional settings I should check in mod_rewrite or Apache?

Thank you in advance for your help!
