Prestashop 8.1.1 ¿add fields in product administration?

I am trying to follow the steps in this example and there is no way to get it to work
Are the instructions wrong?
The github demo, I have to run "composer install" and it works, but I can't install that module in another Prestashop, I have to use the original src.
I have copied everything, I have generated the composer.js, I have tried composer autoload, install, everything and there is no way it works.
Does anyone have experience in this type of modules, a module that the vendor generates and it works? Can it be installed with a zip?

The Prestashop instructions are sad, they are very bad
