PS 8.0.4 - SubCategory image problem, I cannot understand or correct it.

From the image of a typical subcategory image, it shows it with a large white border.

I am unable to change it. I have changed images in the category page, and deleted images as well. But nothing changes, always a white border.

I have regen all images, and 'erase previous images', but still nothing changes.

In fact entering a image name in 'category thumbnail' it does not even save it.
