PHP 8.0 in PS 1.7.8.7 - can't login

Hi, I updated to PHP 8.0 because my hosting required it, but now I can't login to my Prestashop, I get this error: 

 

(1/1) FatalErrorException

Compile Error: Declaration of Doctrine\DBAL\Driver\PDOConnection::query() must be compatible with PDO::query(string $query, ?int $fetchMode = null, mixed ...$fetchModeArgs)

in PDOConnection.php line 70

 

How can I update to PS 1.8 if I can't access the panel? I can't downgrade to PHP 7 since my hosting discontinued it.

Ask hosting to temporary set PHP 7.4 ( ill bet they can do it, as most hostings has such option ). If they do, install clean PS 8 and migrate data from 1.7 -> 8, either upgrade 1.7 to 8.

Thanks for your response. Just asked them and they will charge me for this, is there any way I can do it without downgrading PHP?
